Evidence

       The Texas Rules of Evidence are very similar to the Federal Rules of Evidence and most of the rules are identical.  The Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and the Texas Rules of Criminal Procedure are mostly the same, although there are significant differences.  Many of these differences relate to the protections that a criminal defendant has in a criminal trial, such as the 5th amendment right to remain silent.
